The heat has been unbearable but at least the brew has been good. Funny about the “boutique” shops, it’s not the case down here. When I told the bodega guy I got it from that he was doing a good thing by having good beer in his shop, he said “come back again and prove it.” I love Brooklyn.

strangely, they didn’t have it at any of the “boutique” shops around here, but the vietnamese bodega on the corner had it in full supply … great stuff, almost like a “blonde” aventinus …

I think they keep the can rotations pretty seasonal, but I’m not sure. The Ten Fiddy was definitely around in the Winter, and I drank a bunch of it. It’s really amazing to have a 10.5% ABV beer in a can, not sure why! Thanks for stopping by!

Right on! Their canning line is probably why I’ve seen Oskar Blues popping up in some unexpected places around the BK. Dale’s and Old Chub, especially. Not so much the Ten Fiddy. Which is delicious, of course, and there’s something enjoyably dissonant about pouring such a monster of a beer from a can. As you know that stuff looks like motor oil. Oh I want one now.

Neil! Thanks for stopping by, man! I’d love to come to England and taste what’s left of traditional beers — especially keen on cask beers these days, and a tripel never hurts! Likewise if you’re in the hood and need some helping getting your mouth cleaned out with some American brews, I can oblige!

Haven’t quite given up music, but in the long run, a beer is almost as good as a record, eh? I can keep you up to date with Religious Knives stuff if you need some updates…. xoxox
