Yeah another Southern Tier review from t-bone, I know, enough already, but DAMN if this ain’t the one! Thanks to Stinky for pointing me in this direction on my search for a heavily hopped wheat, its exactly what I’ve been looking for.
The pour is a deep gold with a cloudlike two-finger head. I was immediately flattened by the hop aromas, super heavy citrus and some floral undertones, right up my alley, and there is some subtle weizen spice underneath. I was in love with the first sip. This beer is the platonic ideal of a hoppy weizen that i’ve been dreaming of. Perfect balance between wheat sweetness and hop bitterness and amazing interplay between spice and citrus. At only 8% its on the weaker end of their Imperial collection, but any stronger and it would be thrown out of whack I think. Really I’ve never had an 8 point beer this drinkable, it’s smooth as silk with a tight and refreshing finish thanks to the hops. I can’t really say much more about it other than that you should jump on it as soon as you see it.
This one is going straight into my summertime rotation.

Hmmm this might be what I have to drink on the roof after work today!
Believe it or don’t, that bottle was definitely from last year. I need to grab one, sounds like they aged pretty well.
I’m not so sure about that now. They just got them in at Whole Foods in Chelsea and the bottles are printed and not stickered there as well. If is WAS from last year then I can’t fucking wait to hit this years.
It’s definitely last years. They’ve gone to all stickers, whole foods over orders and I have inside information. That being said I will alert you immediately when the new bottles ship
